Description
Ancho chiles are the dried version of red Poblano chiles. Dried ancho chiles have a deep red colour and a wrinkled skin, they are sweet and smoky with a flavour slightly reminiscent of raisins with a mild to medium-hot heat. Use them in all your traditional preparations like salsa’s, nacho's, sauces and marinades.
They can be used dried as a seasoning and spice or rehydrate them in warm water for 15mins to make a chile paste.
