Description
Speculaas is a type of spiced biscuit baked with speculaas spices and they are especially popular at Christmas. In recent decades, however, it has become normal to eat Speculaas all year round, especially with coffee or tea, or with ice cream. With a subtle note of cinnamon and the unmistakable shapes, a crispy pastry is created that should not be missing on any Christmas plate.
Also know as Speculoos or Spekulatius, they are popular in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany or north of France.
