Description

For over 50 years, Aceitunas Losada has grown and produced table olives in Carmona, Spain, near Seville. The family-owned company controls the entire process from hand-harvest in their groves to curing. The current generation owners are siblings Luis and Maria Losada, who are dedicated to resurrecting forgotten olive varieties and returning to traditional natural curing methods.

Arbequina

Intended primarily for oil, it is uncommon to find Arbequina as table olives because of their small size (about 800 fruits per kilo). But they are DELICIOUS! Good things come in small packages. Cured in brine, these beauties present a spectrum of violet and brown colours, bursting with fresh fruity flavours.

Cornicabra

Cultivated mostly in areas of central Spain (Ciudad Real, Toledo or Madrid) as well as Andalusia, it is collected in an advanced state of maturity, thus presenting pinkish and purple tones.

Intense flavour, firm texture and pointy on one end they have come to be named ‘Cornicabra’ (Goathorn).

Gordal

Queen olive has a well balanced proportion of pulp and stone, offering a nice texture feeling, crunchy instead of thready. It is very pulpy, smooth and has a tender flavour.

Verdial

Noted for their firm texture and creamy flavour because of the high oil content. Marinated in a garlic and herb mix.

Mixed Olives

Mixed Olives in a natural brine - A combination of olives from the Carmona region. Gordal, Verdial, Cornicabra, Zoraleña, and Cuquillo.
