Description
Yerba Mate is a plant native to South America and grown for the delicious tea "mate" made from it's leaves. The leaves of the plant are be steeped in hot water like black or green tea leaves to make the tea and drunk hot or cold. It has a very distinctive taste that is strong, bitter, and vegetal and is very similar to coffee.
Mate boosts energy, fights fatigue, is rich in antioxidants and minerals, reduces appetite, balances the body in all its functions and contains less caffeine than coffee or even green tea!
This RosaMonte yerba mate is made with the stems which add a slightly woody taste and tend to make it a bit lighter.
